I had the kids pictures taken last week for Father's Day and they turned out great.

Update
Well, the movers came Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. My mom and I cleaned on Thursday and we closed on Friday. The kids, cats and us moved into my mom's on Wednesday. Then Bret and I jetted off for a weekend in Chicago. Bret had the ASCO conference (oncology's biggest) and I spent my time relaxing and shopping.
Connor has his going away party at school tomorrow (he finishes on Thursday). Then we'll have 4 days of nothing before the hectic summer schedule begins.
Connor's already been doing traveling soccer, which entails 2 practice nights per week. Now, he'll have 2 games per week for the next 3 weeks. On top of that, he'll have 2 weeks of hockey camp, a nature camp and a week long trip to South Dakota (Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, etc.) with Grandma Ellyn. Oh, and 3 more cello lessons squeezed in. Then we all go to the Star Wars exhibit at the Twin Cities Science Museum before heading up to Duluth (around 6/28).
Don't worry, Maren and Brendan will be just as busy. Maren has an art camp, gymnastics, gymnastics camp, nature camp and swim lessons. Brendan just has gymnastics, gymnastics camp and swim lessons.
I hope to squeeze in plenty of play dates with all of our wonderful friends before we leave. Oh, and a girls night out to boot!
The big, burning question: what's happening with the new house? It's on hold. Although we had been told that the financing would be no problem, it hasn't come through. With the state of the economy and the crack down in the mortgage world, a 100% financing construction loan is not an easy one to get. So, we hope to start once Bret gets his first pay check (7/31 or 8/1). We've been told that the building process would be 6-9 months, so we should be OK. We have found a house to rent in the Lakewood school district (which is where our new house will be) on 5 acres. It's not perfect, but should suit us well for hopefully only a year. We still haven't signed a lease, but once everything is finalized, I'll post the contact information.
Also, we have a new email address: lkwbebf@gmail.com. Please start using this new email. My old address book is stuck on my computer, which is in storage for a month. So, I don't have anyone's emails.
We are all adjusting well to being at Grandma's and can't believe how fast time is flying by. We'll blink and we'll be in Duluth (or as Bret says it, in Texas, which is more important). We're heading to Texas for 10 days after Bret has a week of orientation at his new job (start date 7/14).
I'll try to dig out my camera and get some recent pictures up soon.
All our love! xoxo

EVEN MORE GREAT NEWS!
WE SOLD OUR HOUSE! It's amazing! It was only on the market for about 7 weeks when we got the offer. We had the inspection on Monday, and there were no problems. We close May 30, which is 1 month before Bret finishes. We're planning on living with Grandma Ellyn until the end of June. We still don't have a place to live in Duluth. We're waiting for the financing on the new house to come through before we can start digging. We're hoping that by mid-May we'll be able to break ground. Movers came today and it really started to hit home. We'll only be here another 5 weeks. Yikes! At least, Duluth Clinic is paying for this move. I'm hoping that Bret and I can just sit back and relax on this one.

Maren's Big News!
On March 27, Maren was coming up the stairs for dinner when she slipped and fell, hitting her mouth on the top wooden step. At the time, it just looked like she bit her lip. I was just thrilled that we didn't need to head to the ER for more stitches (for those of you who don't remember, Maren is our "Stitch Queen". Last week after we got back from Duluth, I noticed that her top front two teeth were discolored and getting progressively worse. I called the dentist and took her in today. The dentist gave me the choice of waiting and seeing or pulling the teeth. She was concerned about infection, which could affect the permanent teeth. After all she's been through, I opted to pull the teeth. She was a real trooper! After a couple of worried moments, she pulled through with flying colors. She's thrilled to put her two teeth in her glow-in-the-dark large tooth that she got from the dentist under her pillow. Dad already brought home 2 Webkinz from the "Dad Fairy". She had previously broken a sliver off of one of her bottom front teeth. Enjoy the pictures!
